Brea, California 5/23/06 - Altinex, Inc. announces some of the innovative audiovisual products it will be unveiling at InfoComm in Florida next month. Included are new AV-over-Twisted-Pair modular components for MultiTaskers™ and Matrix Switchers™, as well as Designer Solutions and AV system control. These products are representative of the high-quality standards ALTINEX maintains in designing, building, selling, and supporting signal management and control systems.
The MT107-500 is a 64x64, AV-over-Twisted-Pair Matrix Engine™ and the most compact of its kind in the AV industry. Up to eight expansion cards with eight, 4-TP connectors each can be connected to the engine taking up only one 4U-high MultiTasker enclosure. The MT107-500 may also be easily configured to meet customer specifications.
The new MT107-105 Universal Video Matrix Engine can switch encoded signals from 8x8 to 16x16 over 4 Twisted Pairs. The base engine includes 2, 4-channel Twisted Pair inputs and outputs which each have local audio output. Up to 8 cards may be connected to the engine for resolutions VGA-UXGA. Being MultiTasker-based, this engine is compact, cost-effective, and may be pre-programmed before installation.
ALTINEX also introduces the DR455-109, a Dual Link Repeater which automatically compensates for long DVI cable runs up to 130ft. This small unit handles resolutions up to 2048x1536p, and will effectively double the power of transmissions, provide increased speed, and enhance signal quality.
In addition, ALTINEX will be introducing several new Sidekickers™ such as the AV-over-Twisted-Pair Compact Video Transmitter DA103-120 and Receiver DA103-121. These two products offer the best means of transmitting Computer or Component video signals over Twisted Pair cable and are smaller than most cell phones. One more modestly sized Sidekicker, the DA103-110 is equipped with 2 VGA outputs for transmitting Computer or Component video to 2 different displays from a single computer. All three Sidekickers are cost-effective, compact, and handle resolutions VGA-UXGA.
New wall-mount control begins with the Designer Solutions’ DS801-201/202 Wall-mount Video + Audio Interfaces with Twisted Pair output. The DS801-201 fits a standard 2-gang outlet box; the DS801-202 fits into a standard 3-gang outlet with room for 6 snap-in connectors. Both units transmit Computer video and audio signals over Twisted Pair cable with video equalization up to 400ft, include signal detect, and come with a black designer finish.
Designer Solutions also introduces programmable DS801-301/302 Wall-mount Controls with 11-button keypads for use with any type AV equipment having an RS-232 port and control language. These units are ideal for small AV systems that require economical but highly functional control. The DS801-301 comes in black, and the DS801-302 is available in a gray finish.
Other new wall-mount products include the DA403-110/115 Wall-mount Interfaces that transmit Computer video and audio signals over distances up to 300ft using high-quality coax cable and have built-in video equalization. The DA403-115 has space for six additional snap-in connectors for convenient routing of Computer video, audio, and control signals.
Finally, the modular MT115-110 Dual Video + Audio Twisted Pair Transmitter and MT115-111 Receiver are used with MultiTasker AV systems for transmission of encoded Computer or Component video signals. Compact and cost-effective, these two units also offer remote control via RS-232.
