AV Control System

Every AV system needs to be controlled!

Control can be as simple as pushing a button on a remote control, to switching from one camera to another, or from one DVD player to another. More complex systems use remote computer systems, personal computers, or dedicated control processors. These are programmed to communicate with AV system components, requesting equipment and signal status which update control panels, sound alarms, or send notification to system administrators.

Most control systems have their own command language, but will import or "learn" command sets from AV equipment. System ontrollers communicate with AV equipment usually via RS-232, USB, TCP/IP, or RF. ALTINEX has offered MultiTasker-based control cards for many years. In conjunction with the user-friendly Graphical User Interace (GUI) - AVSnap software and the newly released MutiTouch™ Panels, the three product lines make an unbeatable trio for your next AV system design.

AVSnap-AV Control System

AVSnap is an integral part of the ALTINEX Control System Solution. AVSnap, an AV system design tool, may also be used as a software control platform. AVSnap comes with a wide range of sample files that will allow any AV professional to quickly design a well functioning control system. With the built-in editor and communication monitor, it is easy for any user to program an entire AV system, troubleshoot, and monitor all events live.

Control Module

A simple but cost-effective solution is the ISM5000 which may be used with a MultiTasker-based control solution. The programmable buttons allow the user to send switching commands to a remote MultiTasker system.
