The VA6834FC is designed to connect a computer video source to a scan-rate compatible monitor or projector compatible with VGA thru UXGA, MAC, SUN, SGI, and other analog computer video sources.

The VA6834FC uses a 15pin HD input compatible with standard VGA cables. The VA6834FC offers three fully buffered outputs: two main outputs, each using 6 BNC connectors to deliver RGBHV, RGBS, or RGsB type signals, and a pass-through 15pin HD local monitor output.

If the input signal format is RGBS or RGBHV, the main output may be RGBHV, RGBS, or RGsB. However, if the input signal is RGsB, the output must be RGsB. The VA6834FC is not designed to strip sync from Green.

The VA6834FC offers a number of useful features, such as switches for input termination and ID Bit (used to emulate a local monitor). A dial-type horizontal positioning control on the front panel not only adjusts the image position, but can also be used to turn off the horizontal delay/positioning control.
