The DR455-109 is a cable equalizer that automatically compensates for long DVI cable runs. This unit extends the usable cable distance up to 130ft (40m) depending on the cable quality, and is capable of extending dual link signals, allowing for much greater resolutions and refresh rates.

Dual Link DVI products can have up to two TMDS (transition minimized differential signaling) links. Each link has three data channels for RGB information (individual maximum bandwidth is 165 MHz). Dual link connections provide bandwidth for resolutions up to 2048x1536p, effectively double the power of transmission, and provide increased speed and improved signal quality.

The DR455-109 extends the Interface length as follows:

0 to 130ft (40m) over DVI cable, 24 AWG STP (Shielded Twisted Pair)
0 to 100ft (30m) over DVI cable, 28 AWG STP
0 to 65ft (20m) over DVI cable, 30 AWG STP
