Designed for installation into boardroom and conference room tables, the CNK231 has more room than the original as it eliminates internal AC power socket. Like the original Cable-Nook Jr., it provides a simple yet effective way of hiding and storing multimedia cables and fixed connectors. The cables remain connected to a presentation system, enabling the user easy access to them and for connection to video, audio, and other media sources needed.
The CNK231 is unique in that it utilizes a circular bezel allowing it to be placed at unusual angles in a table. It also makes for an easier table cutout in some applications. The lid offers a half-moon cutout, allowing it to close even with several cables in use. After the presentation, the cable ends are returned to the Cable-Nook for safe storage.
The Cable-Nook Jr. uses a trap door type design with a lid that remains flush with the table when not in use. To access the cables or connectors, simply lift the trap door and pull the ends out, or plug cables into any installed fixed connectors. The weight of the cables helps feed the slack through the unit and cable ends are held in place by an adjustable retaining bracket for various cable sizes. The bracket shelf can also be modified for height.
A variety of insert plates are available for the Cable-Nook Jr., including power outlets, retaining brackets, fixed pass-through connector panels and snap-in port panels. Click here to see Insert Plates The CNK231 comes standard in a matte black finish.
Important Notes: The CNK231 comes as an empty enclosure; insert plates must be ordered separately to provide a complete solution. The CNK231 replaces the previously available CNK131. However, to order a configuration that closely resembles the CNK131, use part CNK251, a package that consists of: CNK231 (empty enclosure), CN5110RB (retaining brackets) and CN5102US (Dual AC power outlets).
