Designed for installation into a table (such as those found in boardrooms and conference rooms) the Cable-Nook Jr. , model CNK131, provides a simple, yet effective way of hiding and storing multi-media cables. More importantly, the cables remain connected to a presentation system, allowing the user to simply access them and connect them to video, audio, and other media sources needed for a presentation.
The CNK131 is unique in that it utilizes a circular bezel. This enables it to be placed at unusual angles in a table. It also makes for an easier table cutout in some applications.
The CNK131 uses a trap door type design with a lid that remains flush with the table when not in use. To access the cables, the user simply lifts the trap door and pulls the ends out. The lid offers a half-moon cutout, allowing it to close even with several cables in use. After the presentation, the cable ends are returned to the CNK131 for safe storage.
Cables are fed through the CNK131 to the underside of the table, enabling connection to the presentation system. The weight of the cables helps to feed the slack through the unit and the cable ends are kept from falling by a special adjustable retaining bracket. The bracket uses rounded edges to prevent kinking and it can be adjusted for a wide variety of cable sizes. The height of the bracket shelf can be adjusted for different depths. The CNK131 also provides one AC Power socket internally, making it easy to power a laptop or other device. The CNK131 comes standard in a matte black color, but is available in other finishes for custom orders.
