Matrix Switchers
Matrix switchers allow the connection of multiple video and audio sources to multiple displays or other receiving devices. Also called routers, Matrix Switchers allow routing of any incoming signal to any output device, as long as the video standard and resolution are identical. In order to switch input signals to an output with a different format, the switcher needs a signal processing module, like a video scaler, scan doubler or scan reducer, or a video standard converter to convert the signal.
