The VM2142AU is an 8-Out balanced mono audio output card designed for use in V-Matrix® enclosures. It must be used with 8-In balanced mono input cards compatible with the V-Matrix system. The VM2149AU is a balanced stereo audio output card, and must be used with balanced stereo audio input cards compatible with the V-Matrix system.
Either card may be used to output mono, stereo, or multiple surround-sound channels of balanced audio. While any output of the VM2142AU may be used as a destination from any input of a compatible mono audio input card, the VM2149AU requires each stereo pair to be switched together from a compatible stereo audio input card.
