The MT107-202 is an 8 Balanced Audio Input expansion card for use with the MT107-103 64X64 Matrix Engine. The MT107-202 is capable of receiving balanced audio signals for input to the MT107-103.
Each MT107-202 connects to the Input Connector on the MT107-103 Matrix Engine. Up to 7 expansion cards may be connected to the engine. Each card is connected to the engine via special cables provided with the Engine.
Audio input signals are buffered to the matrix system through individual differential line receivers. In many audiovisual environments, there may be a great deal of noise and other interference from power lines, electronic equipment, and poorly shielded cables. The MT107-202 utilizes balanced audio inputs in order to most effectively reduce and/or eliminate "hum" and other forms of noise.
Input level control, including mute capability, is employed on the MT107-202. The level and mute controls may be applied to any individual input and are software controlled for flexibility.
As part of the MT107-103 Matrix Engine, the MT107-202 has built-in special features. Signal detection circuitry allows the user to determine the presence of an input signal on any channel.
ALTINEX software and hardware allow for the switching of any input to output combination and prevents illegal switching combinations that may damage components.
