It is really easy to program and control the V-Matrix switcher using VMSetup software.

The Main tab allows you to link to ALTINEX web-site if needed by clicking on the logo.  It also allows you to select the communications port (COM1/COM2/COM3) of the computer that V-Matrix is connected through a null-modem cable with pins 2,3 and 5 connected.  Default it is set to None to allow simulation of the commands.

Programming of the unit is done in Setup Tab.  It allows you to select Matrix no., Input and output offset, No. of inputs-outputs, channel width and channel spacing.  After that click configure Matrix to send the commands to V-Matrix through selected COM port.  One has to click Save Setup once the matrix configuration is finalized.   For 42x42 RGsB the setup parameters are in following figure.

One can check the status of the V-Matrix (Communication port settings) and get feedback of Matrix Configuration through appropriate buttons. For convinence or testing purpose the connection of a single input to all Outputs is enable by entering the input no. in field or sliding to the desired input no.

In Control tab, once can switch any input to any output on any matrix.  First select the correct matrix no. on the right by inserting the no. in field or using up and down arrow.    Then select input and output for which the connection is to be made before clicking on Switch button.  If multiple (up to 4) connections need to be made in a single click then first select all inputs and output combination and click on All button.    One can check the status of the matrix by clicking on Status button.   Remember that as soon as the switch or All button is clicked the connection of one/all cross-points will be made, however if all connections need to be made at same instance, enable Path option.   Then select input to output normally and click on Switch Path to make the connection.

In Recall/Save tab once can save into or recall from one of the 99 memories available in V-Matrix switcher.  For convenience memory location no. 1 through 8 have a dedicated button while for others either enter the no. in the field or use up and down arrow to get save/recall memory location.
