Job Title: 400-011: Brand Developer

Summary

The Brand Developer is responsible for formulating and executing brand strategies for Altinex product portfolio. The position requires strong knowledge of marketing principles and practices, strong marketing writing background including experience with both internal and external communications and web content; understanding customer needs and insights; the ability to design and execute a successful marketing and product plan. The Brand Developer reports to Marketing Manager.

Essential Functions

Development annual and long-range product plans and marketing strategy to meet product line financial goals.
Assist with new product development efforts, including establishing key product features and benefits.
Responsible for marketing materials creation, including catalog, email newsletter, press releases, web content, cut sheets, direct mail, etc.
Provide expert direction on the design and development of graphics for any marketing materials.
Conduct timely analysis of sales performance and recommend possible marketing campaign based on inventory level.
Provide continuous input and guidance for marketing strategy versus the competitive set.
Analyze available primary and secondary customer research and make recommendations regarding category focus, product selection, pricing, and promotions.
Perform liaison role with International Marketing group to coordinate multi-country product launches.
Be the brand champion and industry expert for the Altinex portfolio
Special projects as assigned by manager.

Skills and Competencies:

Excellent written and oral communication skills are critical for this position.
Hands-on experience with brand or business management basics, product positioning, budgeting, and packaging.
Ability to demonstrate creativity in product and marketing.
Ability to prepare and present product and brand presentations to a wide variety of audiences, including executive management and buyers.
Ability to coordinate and liaise with multi-disciplinary teams in a deadline-oriented work environment.
Demonstrated knowledge and application of marketing principles and practices.
Strong marketing writing skill.
Dynamic and highly creative team players.
Must be a self-starter with energy, strong work ethic, drive and determination to accomplish brand goals.

Tools used:

Navision, MS Word, Excel, Power Point, other Windows-based software as needed, PhotoShop, DreamWeaver and Digital Camera. Typing 40+wpm.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Communications. MBA in Marketing or Communications preferred. 2+ years of strategic and executional marketing experience in a industrial-driven company. AV, IT industry and online marketing experience is a plus.

Hours

8:00am - 5:00pm

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Abstract reasoning: ability to extrapolate consequences of hypothetical actions and anticipate possible difficulties.
