1. Remove the Tilt and Plug unit from the table. Place the unit on a flat surface, and position it so that you have access to the bottom of the unit, the support brace, and the gas spring.

2. Using a small flat-head screwdriver or needle nose pliers, carefully remove the outer retaining clip (A) and inner retaining clip (B) from the lower retainer pin (C).

3. Holding the lower gas spring anchor with the pliers, carefully slide the lower retainer pin (C) from the lower gas spring anchor and support brace.

CAUTION! The gas spring may still have tension and may push out once you have removed it from the lower retainer pin.

4. In a similar fashion as step 2, remove the retaining clip (E) from the upper retainer pin (F).

5. Slide the upper retainer pin (F) from the chassis flange.

6. Remove the gas spring (D) and replace with new part. (Part #PNP500-SPRING)

7. Replace the upper retainer pin (F), guiding it through the chassis flange and upper gas spring anchor.

8. Using needle nose pliers or a similar tool, replace the retaining clip (E) on the upper retainer pin (F). The clip should fit snugly into the groove on the pin.

9. Carefully compressing the gas spring cylinder, align the lower gas spring anchor with the holes in the support brace.

10. Once the lower gas spring anchor is aligned with the holes in the support brace, slide the lower retainer pin (C) through the anchor and the support brace.

11. Replace the retaining rings (A) and (B) onto their respective positions upon the lower retainer pin (C). The rings should fit neatly into the grooves on the pin.
