Altinex is pleased to announce that we are able to send 1080p/60hz HDMI signal over any type of wire. And when we say “ANY,” we mean any.

We call this system “AnyWire.”

Current technology enables users to extend an HDMI signal over CAT6 type cables. The more popular system is HDBaseT. It is a real time transmission system that extends the HDMI signal over 300 feet (or 100 meters). But what if you do not have a CAT6 cable running and what if the only cable you have is a speaker wire, low voltage power wire, or any other type of wire? Fear not, for the solution to this application lies with AnyWire.

If you have a wire, we can transmit the HDMI signal over it. We do not care what type of wire it is, as long as it runs between a transmitter and a receiver. To make things even more interesting, you can connect multiple receivers on the far end to build a small distribution amplifier with up to 4 outputs.


How AnyWire Works

AnyWire employs a special design that converts HDMI signal into a serial stream of data. This data stream is encoded to allow transmission over any copper media.

The conversion provides a slight delay in the video signal. Even though audio and video signals are fully synchronized, it takes about half a second to perform the full conversion. The AnyWire is perfectly fit for transmitting live video and computer video signal over long cables.

The complete system consists of the AnyWire transmitter and up to 4 AnyWire receivers. The diagram below shows a typical system configuration with AnyWire devices. Note that adding an additional receiver is just like daisy chaining another device. The distance between receivers can be up to 50 feet.

The AnyWire transmitter and receiver are very small and will easily fit behind a monitor or wall plate. The transmitter has local HDMI output for use with a local display.

With AnyWire transmitters and receivers, the applications are limitless. This technology can be easily incorporated into digital signage, rental applications, courtroom setups, sports bars, and much more. This product can also be used for many retrofitting projects where running additional wires is not practical and using existing wiring will provide an easy upgrade path.
